I would just like to say that after only 1 month of using the Copper-Peptides my "jowls" have disappeared!! Yea! I had these areas on either side of my face between my chin and cheeks. Just wanted to pass this on. I've had great results with skin firming, first with CP Serum, then with Super Cop. I apply Super Cop in dots on my face and neck. I've also observed significant lifting of the upper eye lids.

One thing I do that may be contributing to my great results is that I exfoliate like crazy. I do chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc. I even lightly use a microdermabrasion cloth on my upper eye lids ...I have to say that I have seen results with Super Cop WITHIN DAYS.

How to Tighten Loose Skin - Why Biological Skin Tightening is Better than Destructive Methods

Copper 2 and Vitamin C are Critical For Tightening

The skin has powerful systems for skin tightening. This is most evident during wound healing when wounds are closed by both wound contraction and the production of new skin. During wound healing, this action is so strong that stress lines in the skin can often be seen radiating outward from the wound. These stress lines, indicating strong skin contraction and tightening, can develop in 24 hours in wounds. SRCPs applied to the skin intensify this tightening loose skin around wounds.

Fibroblasts, Lysyl Oxidase, Copper 2 and Vitamin C

Biological skin tightening occurs as the skin's repair cells, the fibroblasts, pull collagen strands together. Then they are biochemically attached by the fibroblast in a way that keeps the strands elastic and soft. The fibroblast uses an enzyme - lysyl oxidase - which needs both copper 2 and vitamin C to link the collagen strands together.

Adequate levels of both copper 2 and vitamin C are essential for wound contraction. You cannot get skin tightening without high levels of both copper 2 and vitamin C )ascorbic acid) in your skin. Copper 2 is best supplied from SRCPs applied to the skin surface. Vitamin C levels in the skin are easily increased by taking at least one gram daily as a supplement. If is difficult to get vitamin C through the skin except at a very low pH of about 2.5 (very acidic).

Concomitant use of hydroxy acids, such as salicylic acid and lactic acid, that remove the older cells on the skin's surface also helps with skin tightening. The hydroxy acids produce a very mild skin damage as they remove older skin cells but this helps the renewal process, probably by increasing the numbers of the skin repair cell, the fibroblast.

The elastic fibers of the skin, collagen and elastin, are produced by a skin cell, the fibroblast. Lasers, microwaves, and heating lights do not produce collagen.

How to Tighten Loose and Sagging Skin

Skin Remodeling can be used to tighten skin after weight loss. Skin is tightened as older skin is removed and new elastin and collagen fibers pull the rebuilt skin together. Think of young skin as the surface of of a balloon; push it in or pull it out and it quickly pull back into a smooth surface.

This method has worked for many Skin Biology clients.

Hydroxy acids, strong copper peptides, such as Super Cop (an effective skin tightening cream) and internal supplements of vitamin C slowly tighten skin. This is a slow process, taking several months, and the hydroxy acids can produce a mild irritation. Some of our clients, after losing large amounts of weight, have used this procedure to avoided the need for the surgical removal of excess skin.

Can You Make Loose Skin Tighten? YES

Many report good results using copper peptides to tighten neck skin. On some occasions, users report an loosening of skin around their eyes, followed by a tightening.

I took a look at my eyes first thing this morning and man, I got to tell you, they looked awful! Big drooping, puffy half moon ring underneath both of them. Much worse then the day before. If you have very sensitive skin, always start with our mildest copper peptide: Super GHK-Copper Cream.

Some clients apply the copper-peptide creams and hydroxy acids at about 4 to 6 hour intervals.

Take a daily supplements of 1 gram vitamin C, and 1 gram of MSM (methylsulfonyl methane). High levels of vitamin C are necessary for collagen cross linking and tightening and the MSM supplies nutritional sulfur for protein synthesis.

Combine the above with aerobic exercise to tighten internal muscles.

If this does not work fast enough, you might use a stronger hydroxy acid such as a 15% to 30% lactic acid or 30% glycolic acid. A more extensive tightening can be attained by laser resurfacing followed CP Serum and Emu Oil to aid the healing process.

Typical results take approximately 4-6 weeks of consistent use.
