Lord Frederick Leighton - Idyll

Methods for the reduction of scars and skin blemishes are usually marginally effective, painful, expensive, and often produce further scars during the procedure.

The safe and natural combination of hydroxy acids and strong skin remodeling copper peptides (SRCPs) provides surprisingly effective removal of the appearances of various scars and skin blemishes. This method is cheap and painless, but may take several months to achieve a good cosmetic result.

The hydroxy acids work to loosen damaged skin proteins (scar tissue) while SRCPs remove them from the skin and initiate the skin rebuilding process.

Hydroxy Acids to Remove Scars

Exfoliating creams, like LacSal Cream, and their stronger versions marketed as "chemical peels" have long been used to reduce scars. Retin-A (retinoic acid) also reduces scars but can be quite irritating to the skin.

The hydroxy acids remove dead skin cells and also loosen and slowly dissolve skin lesions such as acne scars, keloid scars, surgical scars, burn scars, moles, skin tags, stretch marks, age spots, and sun damage marks.

The secret to the power of hydroxy acids is that healthy, normal skin has a high resistance to such acids. In contrast, most skin lesions have little structural integrity and are more easily broken down by the acids. The repeated use of such acids over a period of a month or longer slowly dissolves most skin lesions.

This is essentially a modification of normal skin peel techniques where a very strong hydroxy acid (or other peeling agents such as TCA or phenol) is used for a chemical peels. Such methods work very well under perfect circumstances. However, hydroxy acids can be highly irritating if the subsequent regenerative response of the skin is inadequate to fully heal the acid-treated skin. If there is too little skin rebuilding, then the peeling agent may cause further scarring or inflammation. For more about hydroxy acids, see Skin Exfoliation Methods.

The use of strong skin remodeling copper peptides after the use of hydroxy acids creates a skin environment that helps the regeneration of the normal, healthy skin. With the repeated application of a hydroxy acid, you can slowly dissolve away the skin blemish and use SRCPs to aid the rebuilding of your healthy, smooth skin. This process is repeated once or twice daily and an improvement should be noted in a month, but obtaining a cosmetically satisfying result may take several months.

Abrasion Techniques for Strong Scar Removal

Lord Frederic Leighton - Orpheus and Eurydice,1864

Sometimes old and tough scars need stronger treatment to remove the damaged tissue. There are several safe abrasion techniques that can be used to help break up scar tissue and rebuild the skin.
