My husband started two months ago with Folligen Solution Spray, waoo, what results, the hair is growing on the areas were he lost it. I took pictures of him before and now we compare it and you can notice the improvement.

From the very first time I used your shampoo and conditioner, I felt an immediate difference in the manageability, shine, and texture of my hair.
After leaving the conditioner on my hair for about 20 minutes, spraying on the Folligen and rubbing it into my scalp, and letting it air dry with a little styling product, my hair felt so healthy, soft, and super manageable!!
I could not believe it! I think the Folligen spray also helped with the volume. Thank you so much for making a product that truly works!! I honestly did not think it would work this fast! As advised, it seems also that by adding a little bit of water to the bottles of the shampoo/conditioner, it did help with the application.

I had first used Folligen Spray on my eyebrows and absolutely noticed them filling in. Then I did my eyelashes, and am pretty sure they filled in -it's just hard to remember for sure the before look.
I use it on a Q-tip along the lash line during the day (at night it irritates my eyes), maybe 2x/week. I then used Folligen Spray along the entire front hairline, maybe 3x a week for almost exactly a year now - mostly as a harmless experiment to help prevent/reverse a few gray hairs (not visible to anyone but me).
Although I can't say I've seen a color change (yet), I did notice a bit of new hair growth after a few months, thought it was cool, and then continued, mostly to hopefully to at least prevent the gray.
Yesterday I was brushing my hair and couldn't figure out why the bottom layer of my bangs were so darn short - a full 2 inches shorter than the rest of my bangs. I NEVER cut them that short.
I then realized that it was because it was the FRONT hairline that had filled in and grown a full 3 inches long in a year. And it was more than a few strands, it was a section of hair.
What a testament to Folligen, I am extremely impressed... Very very exciting. So glad I stuck it out. Sometimes I added Emu Oil for Skin on top, but only did it every 2 weeks or so. This was truly the Folligen Spray... Thanks Dr. Pickard!

I too can attest to NEW hair growth from using Folligen Spray. I do not have any serious hair issues or graying but noticed a slight thinning on one of my temples... So a I spray a little Folligen each day on my hairline & part after shampooing & sure enough - over a period of a few months, I started to notice the baby fine hairs growing & filling in the area. Bottom line is that Folligen does work in growing new hair. Taking MSM & Copper supplements may help with overall hair health & any graying.

This is to tell you about my results with Folligen. I've been using minoxidil for a year - but nothing much to see. So I tried putting Folligen on one side of my head and minoxidil on the other side.
What I found after two months that the hair looked much better down the middle of my head where the Folligen and minoxidil overlapped. There definitely was better hair growth down the overlap area.
Now at night I apply the minoxidil and let it start drying then apply the Folligen. The two tend to mix a little but this seems to help the spreading. My hair looks much better and I seem to have more hair growing.

Folligen is great. I've been using it for several months along with minoxidil. I've had a long-time problem with maintaining a healthy scalp. Minoxidil seemed to help but always made my scalp raw and irritated.

Let me tell you, I've used many, many very expensive shampoos and conditioners (even one set that was over $150), and I must say that the Folligen Shampoo and Conditioner are the best I've used; not only for their restorative properties, but the texture and effectiveness.
These are very high quality products, and work great, even on very dry, damaged hair like mine. I am very much a hair care junkie, and would always be trying and buying very expensive products ALL of the time, but all of them pale in comparison.
I had some hair loss after the birth of my daughter, and it just kept falling out. Now, my hair not only isn't falling out, but it is healthier than before I had a baby. I was very upset about my hair, but your products have done wonders. I can't go on enough. I still want some of the lost hair to grow back, but I can already see some "sprouts".

WOW!!!!!!! I can not believe how great your Folligen products work. I am a female, that's just a few months away from turning 50 years old and every year my hair seems to be getting a little thinner and finer.
I started using the Minoxidil last year and it helped a lot. Then I stopped using it again for about 6 months and most of the increase in hair growth that I was visibly getting, I ended up losing again.
So I started using the Minoxidil again about 8 months ago and now there is much visible hair growth again. But the reason I am writing this letter is because of your fantastic product "Folligen". I only started using it (the Folligen cream) around my hairline (where my hair is the weakest) about 3 months ago and you can not believe the new hair growth I have there now.
It is very strong and healthy hair, not the fine and fragile hair that usually grows back in. My hair stylist can't believe the texture and the amount of hair that is growing in and now she wants to get the information on these products so she can sell them in her shop.
She said that it was definitely the Folligen that did it, because it was exactly 3 months worth of hair growth. Now, I am using it all over my entire head, so that I can have a thick and healthy head of hair again.
Since I have medium length hair, the cream is too hard to put all over my scalp, so I use an empty minoxidil bottle with the dropper and this works great. If you could only see a picture of all the hair growth, it is truly amazing.
Actually, my hair is looking rather "funky" right now (where all the new shorter hairs are sticking straight up ), but it will be worth it in just a few more weeks. I have even thrown out all of my other hair products now (except for the Minoxidil) and strictly only use the Folligen Shampoo, Conditioner and the Spray Liquid.
The shampoo and conditioner really makes my hair look and feel so much healthier and thicker too. I really love all of your products but the Folligen products are really outstanding, especially for people with thin, fine or fragile hair. I can't recommend them enough and have been telling everyone I know about them. Keep up the great work

I have been using the Folligen Solution Spray every day after shampooing as well as the Folligen Cream on my hairline. I also had some Tricomin that I purchased prior to the Folligen. I notice that whenever I use the Folligen Spray/Cream there is a tingling or stinging sensation that lasts for a while on my scalp (nothing very bad), but I do not have this sensation when I use the Tricomin spray.
Is this a good sign; is it supposed to happen and does it mean that the product is working, or should I be concerned? (Answer, Folligen is stronger - start it slowly) I love the effects of Folligen. Since I have been using it for about three months (along with Xandrox), my hair has begun to grow fuller and more quickly. Thank you for your response and for a great product!.

I use the Folligen shampoo and conditioner. The products have really helped stop the shedding that I had. I usually dilute a little cider vinegar in warm water and use it as a final rinse after i shampoo before the conditioner. My hair really shines when i do that.

Folligen is incredible on healing my scalp. I was using a mixture of minoxidil and azaleic acid and my scalp had developed crusty, scabby sores. When I put Folligen on the sores, the scabs came off after a day and my scalp became healthy again.

Folligen reduced my shedding from 120/day to 80/day after just a few days of use. When I was afraid that all my hair was going to fall out and I was going to be completely bald for life, I was terrified and frantic.
I could never stop worrying about going bald because a hair would fall on my neck, my desk, or my clothes every 15 minutes. It was like the "death by 1000 cuts" or the "Chinese water torture." Now that the shedding is greatly reduced, I am relaxed again.
Since hair loss is frequently associated with stress, Folligen is doubly effective because it greatly reduces the hair loss, which reduces the attendant stress. For me, it broke the negative stress-shedding-stress cycle and started a positive cycle instead.
I am also doing yoga and aerobic exercise, both of which I recommend highly. I am 55, and my hormone replacement therapy was originally Premarin (.625 mg) and medroxyprogesterone (5.0 mg 14 days/month), which is very androgenic and bad for hair.
My HRT is now Estratabs and Prometrium, which are both from yams and much less androgenic. My original HRT was probably a factor in my hair loss, which started 18 months ago, 3 months after my "most stressful week of the century."
There is no androgenic alopecia in my family, and I have been diagnosed with "effluvium" and with "chronic telogen effluvium." I am also using 2% Rogaine and Heatherworks lotion and shampoo, which neutralizes DHT and ureic acid, although I cannot use HW shampoo as often as recommended because I have to alternate T-Gel and Nioxin for seborrheic dermatitis.
I take many of the recommended nutritional supplements: biotin, L-lysine, folic acid, silica (horsetail fern), soy isoflavones, multiple vitamin, vitamin E, echinacea, garlic & parsley, and ferrous sulfate.
I have just added alpha lipoic acid ("master anti-oxidant") at Dr. Pickart's suggestion. I sincerely believe these have encouraged regrowth and have added size and strength to the hairs.
I know Folligen was responsible for greatly reducing my shedding because I hadn't changed my HRT and I wasn't using anything else at the time. It is incomprehensible to me that dermatologists don't recommend Folligen. It has enabled me to stop worrying about hair loss and to enjoy life again.

Dr Loren Pickart: I am so pleased that you have started yet another very helpful website with very useful information. Loss of scalp hair is particularly devastating for females who also have additional issues of complex, hormonal factors that may be either primary or secondary reasons for our hair disorders.
This incurs even further frustration and constant agonizing. Any useful information, effective medication or products will always be gratefully received. I have personally found Folligen to have superb benefits in recovering my own hair loss. When my scalp was initially acclimatizing to minoxidil, I used it very regularly with excellent results.
This helped to build up my scalp tolerance and enabled me to very slowly wean firstly onto 2% strength and later, 5%. If my scalp became itchy or irritated I ceased use for a day or so, and applied Folligen, restarting with one application the following day, usually at pm, prior to an application of Folligen.
I would then apply the 2% strength for a day or so and slowly build up to the 5% again. I am now able to tolerate the 5%, rarely experiencing itching, and continuing to use Folligen 2-3 times weekly, or as required.
When my scalp is irritated, I notice some stinging on application of Folligen, much the same sensation as antiseptic applied to a wound. I mention this as it may remove unnecessary concern for other users.
In my own study of hair issues, I have noted that internal inflammation has been demonstrated as a factor associated with most types of alopecia, ie where scalp hair is lost. This has been noted in scalp biopsies, including those diagnosed as androgenetic alopecia.
This may be more evident during periods of 'activity'. There does seem to be sufficient evidence to suggest periods of heightened activity and periods of stabilization with andrognetic alopecia, although this is essentially a slow, progressive miniaturization of hair follicles.
Internal scalp inflammation has been demonstrated as an associated factor of most hair disorders, to various degrees. Although much work has already been undertaken, we still do not have any conclusive facts.
I have also noted how commonly scalp pain/burning sensations are experienced with scalp hair loss, also heightened scalp sensitivity. Whether this is associated with the crustaceous sensory nervous system, neuropeptide expression, and/or inflammatory processes/other activities via the nervous system, still remains to be determined.
I also recommend using Folligen prior to, and post chemical processing, eg permanents and hair colourants, even on otherwise healthy hair. Permanents can be especially irritating to sensitive scalps. Folligen should be helpful both as a scalp soother and also in treating internal inflammation. I am looking forward to using your new spray format.

Hi, I'm a 19 year old female who has been suffering from hair loss due to stress. It started about 8 months ago, when I was dealing with some stressful things at home, college and other family problems.
I started to notice a little thinning around my edges, but figured it was no big deal. Then I could see my hair getting thinner and thinner, as the months went on. By the fifth month, the hair started coming out in clumps. I would literally get handfuls of hair when I touched, or even combed it! (Washing just made it worse!) It got so bad to the point where my edges were practically bald, and then I knew that I had to find something to try and reverse the shedding, and grow my edges back.
So I purchased a trial sized bottle of Folligen Spray to try, since by then I figured I had nothing to lose. I also purchased some Emu Oil to go with it. I started using it 4x a week, and after 3 weeks of using the Folligen Spray and Emu Oil on my edges, I began to notice hairs growing in thick all around the hairline!!
I have now been using Folligen Spray and Emu Oil together for 1 month and a week now, and my hairline is almost back to where it was before the stress took over! Dear Dr. Pickart, I have now been using your products for about three weeks and would like to report my experience: Folligen - I have a history of hair falling out for the last few years, therefore, have tried every conceivable product from dermatologists' sprays, liquids, lotions, shampoos, conditioners to ending up with my own choice of CVS 5% minoxidil.
I have spent thousands of dollars with the MDs' products (will not mention names but all are very well known) and they have not helped. In the last 3 months, the 5% minoxidil was not working and started caused irritation and flaky scalp even though I used it every other day 2x/day.
I put drops directly on scalp and rub in with Q-tip - very effective method by the way because it also massages the scalp. I counted the hair that fell out every morning and under magnification saw the bulb attached to the strands and was losing between 80-100 hairs every day.
My response was to find something better and through extensive research I found your products not only for hair but for skin. For about three weeks I have been using a dilution of 50% Folligen Spray/50% purified water which I apply with a bottle dropper on parted hair at top of my head and rub in with Q-tip.
I started slowly and built up to it over a week to10 days which allowed me to stop using minoxidil at night. Result: my hair has stopped falling out and for days at a time no hair at all has fallen out. And no more flaking scalp or irritation and dryness.
My regimen: 5% minoxidil full strength in am @16 drops and Folligen 50% dilution in am @/16 drops. I have very light blonde hair chemically processed every 2 months. I have not had any color from the Folligen stain my hair at all and I use it every night. I will keep you informed about my progress...

I do not have before and after pictures, but I will describe what I have noticed. I have been applying Emu Oil to my scalp for about a month and Folligen Spray followed by Emu Oil for Hair for the last 2 weeks and I have noticed that my hair is growing much faster than before.
I normally only need a hair cut every 6 or 7 weeks, and now it is 4 weeks since my last hair cut and I can see I will need one soon. I also noticed short hairs, which could mean that there is new growth. All that is obviously due to the CPs (I also use the Folligen Shampoo) and maybe the Emu Oil.

Folligen products are amazing! For too many years I have anguished over thinning hair and the constant touching up of the gray telltale hairline. Finally I decided to just quit coloring.

I never used Propecia (I would like to try it though) and stopped using minoxidil when I tried your products, and some friends have noticed some hair re-growth. I've used Folligen cream and spray in the past and felt that initially my hair looked better than it had in years. I was very excited and pleased. Then I noticed it didn't seem to have the same impact after about 9 months and there was a bit of increased fallout.
I stopped last August and began using Dr. Proctor's Hair Regrowth Formula 5 months ago. It claims to use NANO (natural minoxidil) Well..I didn't realize how good I had it. I've lost a lot of what has been told to me to be fallout hair which is supposed to be replaced, eventually. But my hair quality, which was strong and grew fast while using Folligen, has diminished in density, fullness and doesn't grow well at all. My hair hasn't looked this bad, ever!

I have never written a company like this so please excuse the obvious, awkwardness of this e-mail.. First of all I am a 30 year old male with typical, but not obvious aging concerns, So I have some wrinkling but nothing real noticeable, so the exterior results of this or any other cosmetic product will not be externally noticeable.
I first found out about your company because I saw a product at the drug store that was a skin cream that contained copper. I found this concept, using copper for skin, intriguing.
So I went on the internet and saw your company coming up again and again, neither overly praising nor denigrating you. I pulled up your website, or should I say one section, And I was overblown. I love the web site but what I really like is you give the competition equal, objective, time and space.
I did not order right away because one I did not know what to order, and it is a little expensive to just experiment with. Number two, I had no obvious reason to use the products. About three or four months ago I went through a period of time with severe stress from work.
Between the stress, the pulling of my own hair, and the change in my diet I started losing hair in great amounts. After great trepidation I decided to order the Folligen sample pack with Minoxidil.
Let me tell you something, I am an Actor/Director who lives part time in Los Angeles, I truly appreciate anyone or anything that cares more for and spends more on quality than packaging. Not to say I don't like your style, even though it would be nice to have instructions on the actual product, in fact I do like the simplicity of it.
But I will tell you, after using your products for a couple of months, I appreciate not having to worry about what kind of product you are going to get each time you order. The quality, from my limited experience, is unparalleled, and it's not because suddenly I have all this hair or after a couple of weeks.
I have no more wrinkles, because that is not the truth. What is the truth is my scalp after a couple of days felt remarkably better, it hurt because I was pulling at my hair, my hair felt great and my hair felt more stable in the scalp.
I just want you to know how much someone like me appreciates a classy and honest company as yourselves... But , please stay as you are, because when I buy your products (in the future), I would like to get them as they exist now not in some compromised form. Keep up the remarkable work.

I am using Folligen a few minutes after applying Rogaine 5% as you suggested and I want to report that the scalp irritation I used to experience is 99% gone. Also my hair and scalp condition has noticeably improved after 4 months of usage.
Hair is shinier and feels healthier and my scalp feels excellent (as opposed to red and irritated). I have recommended Folligen to some of my follicle-impaired friends and posted about it on the Hair-Loss Talk Discussion Forum. I am hopeful that Folligen along with the other products that I use will help me keep the hair I have and maybe allow for some regrowth.

I mixed Folligen with Xandrox (with Retin-A) in equal parts. It eliminated the irritation caused by the Retin-A (I use it without the BV anti-inflammatory steroid).

I am from Rome and I am your customer since nine months. I have tried topical anti-dht with Folligen but now I am using only your Folligen and nothing else, first because it is in my opinion the best natural product and second because I don't like drugs anymore.
My hair loss stopped about 70% and I see some regrowth (that I have never seen with Minoxidil when I used it two years ago). In addition, my seborrhea is under control.

Skin Biology comment - It looks like you may have the right formula. However, if the Retin-A and azelex acid cause scalp irritation, then reduce their use until the Folligen heals up your scalp. Then add them back into your formula again.
The Folligen Spray is giving me good hair growth. I was excessively shedding hair and used Folligen Spray for about four months before I saw significant changes. I am now using my second bottle of spray and my hair loss is down to about 30 hairs daily. I am definitely getting getting faster hair growth. Some of the areas of thin hair near the front of my head are filling in with new hair.

I've tried many formulas but am now getting very good hair growth. When I added in the Folligen Spray to my system, the hair really started to grow. At night, first I spray on a mixture of 2% minoxidil with 2% N-acetylcysteine from Twinlabs. Then I wait an hour and spray on a mixture of 50 milliliters of the Folligen Spray with 10 milliliters of a 70% DMSO solution. I mix them in a 2 ounce minoxidil spray container, then spray on the Folligen-DMSO mixture.

Skin Biology response - Polysorbate 80 acts as a penetrating agent and this may explain the effect. We have heard of people getting good hair growth by first using 50% DMSO/water - which is also a penetrating agent - on their head then applying Folligen.

I received my Folligen tubes. It is very hard for me to apply it at my scalp since I still have hair. I mixed 1/3 part of your lotion with 2/3 parts of purified water and pour in old rogaine bottles. Any drawbacks or loss of chemical properties with this?

I used your product Folligen from July, 1994 through February 1996 and experienced no hair loss in that period of time. I ran out of Folligen in February, and by August, I had a bald spot on the front right-hand side of my head along the part. My hairline was also receding along the left side.
I have now used Folligen Lotion since August 1996 and my hairline has stopped receding on both sides. Though I do have a little thinning, the hair has grown back in what was the bald spot on the left side. I apply a layer of Folligen to my scalp once a day, after I shower.
I have not been losing hair, so I think it is working. I have been using the Folligen Cream and the Shampoo and Conditioner for about 2 weeks with no problems. With the Cream, I put an amount about the size of a plump shelled peanut in the palm of my hand. I dab some on the fingers of my other hand and massage the scalp area along the hairline, trying to keep most of it on the scalp.
I continue doing this on all areas of my head where my hair is getting thin. Most of these areas are on the crown. That one small amount of cream is enough to do all the areas I am treating. You know how you can take 4 fingers on a hand and comb your hair back from your face.
I do something like that, except I don't run my fingers all the way out into the hair. I dab a little cream on the fingers and then part the hair with those fingers and massage the scalp with the cream. I was concerned I would have to wash my hair in the mornings, but so far I only have to wash it about every third day.

This isn't about Folligen per se, but I noticed the other day that my hairline has significantly filled in since using CP Serum on my face. Some of the product gets on the receding hairline area of my face and I think that is what is making it fill in. I was very excited!
I have just placed an order for some Folligen Lotion to try it out on my whole scalp...It's funny because the Copper products [SRCPs] CP Serum in my case, have 'fixed' things I wasn't even trying to fix! This is one of them. I have always had sort of thin hair in the temple area that got a bit worse around 25, then stayed the same.
I never liked it, but didn't think that much about it really. But I've been pulling all my hair back lately (which used to look not so good on me) and I noticed the hairline had filled in and I looked alright with my hair this way. Needless to say, I was happy! I have always had thin, fine hair, so I'm hoping the Folligen will help.

Folligen Shampoo / Folligen Conditioner
I recently went in for a haircut... [My stylist] was besides himself because my hair had so much body and shine. He said that whatever I'm doing, I'm doing it right. I've been using Folligen Shampoo and Conditioner for just a few months now. In fact, I'm only half way down my first bottle of shampoo.
When I shower, I shampoo my hair first then mix a few drops of Emu Oil-S for Hair into a nickle sized amount of conditioner before working into my hair. I leave the product in while I shower and then rinse off before getting out. I also use Folligen Spray daily because my hair started thinning after I turned 50. I'd just like to thank you for a head of hair that looks and feels better than it did when I was a teenager.

My 13 year old daughter has permed and highlighted hair and the worse case of dandruff I'd ever seen. After using some prescription products, nothing seemed to work. The dandruff and dryness would even be around her hairline and on the face a bit.
